The Venue: 📍 "Cugnac" A Beautiful historic Chambre d'hotes, in a fabulous converted medieval castle, stable block, 30 minutes from Bergerac airport and train station and  90 minutes from Bordeaux airport and train station.

Wednesday: Arrival

  • Welcome drinks and dinner.
  • Pending Confirmation: Wine tasting session with a local vineyard owner.

Thursday:

Morning

  • Breakfast at Cugnac
  • Visit to Monpazier – A stunning bastide town, considered the best-preserved in the region, originally built under an English King. Recognized as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages of France’ and a ‘Great Site of France’.
  • Thursday is market day! Stalls will be filled with delicious cheeses, fresh produce, clothing, and handmade gifts, offering a genuine taste of French history and lifestyle.

Afternoon

  • Light lunch at Cugnac, prepared by our host Marie.
  • 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM – Elevator Pitch Session
    • Each participant introduces their business and brand, followed by a roundtable discussion.
    • Please prepare your pitch before arrival.
  • Dinner at Cugnac

 

Friday

Morning

  • Breakfast at Cugnac
  • Business Workshop with Melinda Coss (2-hour session)
    • Topics: Business Mindset, Time Management, Delegation, Prioritization, and Outsourcing.
    • Content may adapt based on insights from the elevator pitches.

Lunch

  • Lunch at Table de Léo in the hillside village of St Avit Senieur. 
  • St Avit Senieur is a charming village, home to an abbey dedicated to Saint Avit, a 6th-century hermit.

Afternoon

  • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM – Roundtable Focus Group
  • Light supper at Cugnac

Saturday

Morning

  • Breakfast at Cugnac
  • Visit to Beaumont du Périgord, founded in 1272 as the region’s first royal bastide
  • Coffee at the village café.
  • Visit Prudence’s Perfume Shop – A successful Australian entrepreneur who built an international perfume brand from this small village in France.

Afternoon

  • Light lunch at Cugnac
  • Business Session: Selling Strategies (Where, How, and Who) + Q&A
  • Dinner at Cugnac

 

Sunday

Morning

  • Breakfast at Cugnac
  • Optional: One-on-one 60-minute coaching sessions with MC (£250 per session, normally £700/hour).
  • Free time for exploration. Consider visiting Issigeac, a beautiful bastide with a vibrant Sunday market.

Afternoon & Evening

  • Lunch and dinner at Cugnac

Monday: Departure

  • Breakfast at Cugnac
  • Guests depart

NB: Visits and venues may be subject to change according to seasonal opening hours and we reserve the right to make changes if necessary.  With respect to the coaching topics I may adjust these after I have got to know your businesses better and determined exactly what you need.

 

 

Here are the prices and what we are including. 

 THE PACKAGE   -  £2,500

  • 5 nights single occupancy bedroom with ensuite + tea & coffee facilities in room.
  • All meals as specified in the programme including Friday lunch at Table de Leo in St Avit (excluding beverages) 
  • All group coaching sessions with Melinda Coss as specified in the programme
  • Transport to local villages as specified in programme.

What is not included:

  • The cost of your flights and/or train tickets.
  • Meals other than those specified in the programme.
  • Sharing accommodation with non-participating partners (although this can be arranged at extra cost).
  • Sunday, one hour, one to one coaching sessions with Melinda which can be booked (on this retreat only) at a cost of £350 per hour. 

NB.  We will be offering a single time pick up and drop off at Bergerac Airport/Station at the start and end of each programme but if your flight/train time does not correspond with it you will need to arrange your own transport to the venue.

There are two large double occupancy rooms available at Cugnac so if you are prepared to share your room with another participant your cost will be reduced by £210.

Meet your coach

Hi I'm Melinda

When I started my entrepreneurial journey I was a single mum with three, under twos, very little education and no money.  I built my businesses because that was my only choice but as a serial entrepreneur, author of 32 internationally published books, living in the French countryside  with three six figure businesses under my belt I can tell you it was a great choice !   

I live in an old farmhouse just ten minutes walk from our venue, with Raphy, (a very naughty Lagotto Romangolo Italian truffle dog), four cats and two chickens who often attend my coaching sessions. I am also a grandma to seven and a matriarch/taskmaster/friend and supporter to all my clients whom, without exception, I adore.  When it comes to building a skincare business, believe me I know my stuff and I am tough, pragmatic, informed and fully invested in my clients' successes.   My sweet spot is the ability to set you up with a strategy, connections, creative ideas, practical know how and, most importantly the mindset to succeed.  Below you will see what my clients say about working with me.
