STARTING AGAIN IS THE WRONG IDEA.

By the time you've spent 20, 30 or 40 years building a career, profession or business, you've accumulated far more than a CV.

You have knowledge, contacts, reputation, judgement, commercial understanding and skills you probably don't even recognise as valuable because they've become second nature to you.

That's your starting point.

Reinvention isn't about throwing away the person you've been and inventing somebody new. It's about looking intelligently at everything you've accumulated and asking:

What could I do with all of this now?

That's what we will work out together

This may be for you if...

You're in your 40s, 50s, 60s or 70s and know you still have plenty left to contribute.

You may be employed, self-employed, running a business, selling one, leaving one or simply wondering what you want the next ten or twenty years to look like.

You may already have several ideas.

You may have none at all.

You may simply know that what you're doing now is no longer quite enough.

You don't need to arrive with the answer.

Finding it is the point.

WHY WORK WITH ME ?

I've re-invented myself quite a few times. I started out as a knitwear designer, became an internationally published author of 32 books, moved into manufacturing, PR and entrepreneurship, and for more than 25 years I have worked as a business mentor helping hundreds of entrepreneurs turn their experience and expertise into something commercially viable.

I understand re-invention from both sides. I know exactly how it feels to look at everything you have done and wonder what you can do with it next. And I know how to look at somebody else's experience and spot the possibilities that they may not be able to see for themselves.

I am not interested in change for the sake of change I am interested in helping you work out what you want to do next, what you already have that can help you achieve that and if the idea will work in the real world.

I won't tell you to follow your passion regardless of whether anyone will pay you for it.

I won't ask you to discover your inner goddess.

And I'm unlikely to suggest you spend six months writing a business plan.

I will ask awkward questions, challenge assumptions, spot connections and then I'll tell you how to turn what you already know into something that gives you both stimulation and commercial opportunity.

In these sessions we will get Specific, not Vague. Clear decisions. Clear next steps.

Do I need to know what I want to do before we start?

No. In many cases that's precisely why we're working together.

You may have several ideas, one half-formed idea or absolutely no idea beyond knowing that you want something to change.

Is this business coaching?

Not exactly.

There may well be a business at the end of it, but we start with your life, your experience and what you actually want next. Only then do we look at how that might translate into income.

Is this only for people approaching retirement?

Absolutely not.

This is for experienced people at any stage who feel they've reached a crossroads and want to make an intelligent decision about what comes next.

What if my idea turns out not to be commercially viable?

Then I've done my job.

I'd much rather tell you that during a consultancy session than have you discover it after spending £20,000 and eighteen months finding out for yourself.

What happens after the three sessions?

For some people, three sessions will be enough. You'll leave with clarity, direction and a plan you can implement yourself.

Others may decide they want continued help putting the new direction into practice. If that's appropriate, we can talk about it then.

There is no obligation to continue.
